Desert Rose Bonsai

Botanical name: Adenium arabicum

Desert Rose are a beautiful Bonsai that can flower year round.  They grow slowly and form a fat bulbous trunk over time.  They are a great tree for beginners.

 

During the summer you can place this tree outside to cut back on maintenance and provide ideal conditions.   Bonsai trees should never be placed in full sun, and should be place in partly shady area.  In the winter they need to be brought inside once the temperatures start dropping below 50 degrees.  Desert Rose compared to other Bonsai don't like to be overwatered.  Its very important to check watering regularly but to only give them ample amount of water when needed.
